Despite having comparatively robust family structures, the research found that India placed second globally for loneliness. Turkey came out on top of the poll.
The average household has more than four members and only 3.7 percent of homes in the country are single person residences. This indicates that loneliness in India is primarily caused by emotional issues rather than physical isolation, since individuals may feel separated even if they are around others, according to the research.
The poll, which examined social isolation and emotional well-being across 36 nations, used seven variables, including loneliness, isolation, sadness and happiness levels, household composition (single-person households and average household size) and depression rates, according to the reports. The combined scores were used to measure the overall risk of loneliness.
The analysis of social isolation and emotional health was carried out across 36 nations and published by the digital entertainment company JB.com. It revealed that many people in India still feel lonely and emotionally disconnected despite strong family structures and bigger homes. This survey shows the changing lifestyle pattern among the people.
