A corporate worker currently expresses his dissatisfaction despite making more than they were previously earning, while our wages are raised and we are happier than we were with the prior lower pay. The post is currently going viral and a lot of people are leaving comments on it.

After a corporate worker who makes Rs. 2,50,000 per month admitted to feeling empty despite financial success, a Reddit post that went viral has sparked a discussion about the true value of money. The worker stated that when he/she made less money, every little cost seemed like an event, making them feel alive. The worker posted on social media under the title “Earning Rs 2.5 Lakhs a month, but I’ve never felt poorer. The Rs 25k version of me was happier.”

In the post, the user says that they have achieved one milestone. A golden number. Each month, a notification comes on the phone saying, Rs. 2,50,000 has been deposited into your account. The user says they were successful by all social standards. But the user also asks, “I’m succeeding. Why do I feel nothing at all?”

“When I made Rs. 25,000 per month, life was wonderful. A basic dinner for Rs. 500 seemed like a triumph. The purchase of a new shirt was a major occasion. A feeling of complete freedom, a purpose and a pulse might be found in every rupee. I was alive,” the user mentions in his post.

The employee claimed that practically half of their income vanished as soon as it reached their bank account, characterizing themselves as a ‘glorified data entry clerk’ for their own bank account. “Investments, mutual funds and emergency reserves were all seized.” I am starving the person I am today while constructing a future fortification for someone I don’t even know yet.

The worker stated that their ‘personal enjoyment budget’ was a sham, leaving them with no money to spend on themselves and showing that they were sacrificing their adolescence and mental health in order to achieve a high score. “I spend more than 40 hours a week of my youth, stress and sanity for a high score screen that I’m not permitted to use. How can I rekindle the flame? How can I quit being a highly paid observer of my own existence?”
