Obsession Box Office Collections: Michael Johnston, Inde Navarrette’s Horror Drama Mint Over Rs 16 Cr on Day 6

On May 29, 2026, the supernatural psychological horror drama, Obsession, hit the theatrical screens in India. Since its premiere, it has been performing well, garnering attention through its captivating narrative and intriguing storyline. Helmed by Curry Barker’s spooky drama continues to emerge as one of the breakout horror successes of the year. Fuelled by strong word-of-mouth and viral social media buzz, it is escalating its momentum at the box office, surpassing the Ts 16 cross-gross mark in India.

Obsession Box Office Collections Day 6

It is no news that Obsession turned out to be yet another W for Hollywood in India this year. As of Day 6, the horror blockbuster is currently running across 1,210 screens. According to Sacnilk, it has raked in a net of Rs 1.13 crore as of 5.30 pm IST. This brings the total India gross collections to Rs 16.49 crore and total India net to Rs 13.88 crore so far. On the first Sunday, the film earned Rs 3.25 crore net, achieving the highest occupancy rate of 48 percent. 

For the unversed, Obsession marks Curry Barker’s directorial debut. Starring Michael Johnston, Inde Navarrette, and Andy Richter in the lead roles, it tells the story of Bear, portrayed by Michael Johnston, a shy and awkward music store employee. He purchases a supernatural toy that grants him his wish for his friend Nikki, played by Inde Navarrette, to fall in love with him. This sets off a series of events with horrifying consequences.

Obsession has been mounted on a nominal budget of under $1 million. Surprisingly, it has already turned out to be a huge hit. Internationally, it has surpassed the $100 million mark. As days unfold, it is interesting to watch the box office numbers go up.
