Border 2 is one of the most anticipated movies of January 2026, starring Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, Ahan Shetty, and Diljit Dosanjh in key roles. The war drama revolves around the 1971 Indo-Pak battle. The much-awaited trailer of Border 2 was unveiled on January 16, 2026. No sooner did the makers drop the trailer than it racked up impressive views and comments from fans, media, and other actors. 

Directed by Anurag Singh, Sunny Deol plays the lead role of a senior soldier who inspires his army with his fearless approach. Take a closer look at the actor’s phenomenal performance in the movie!

Slated for release on January 23, 2026, the movie is backed by a powerful production team including Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, J.P. Dutta, and Nidhi Dutta. In the trailer, Sunny Deol is spotted all geared up for his nation. In one of the scenes, the actor is spotted stating, “For a soldier, the border is merely not a line drawn on a map. It’s a promise made to his country that nobody will cross beyond the line where he stands.” Undoubtedly, the movie is packed with the right amount of patriotism, powerful dialogues, and heart-warming performances.

Varun Dhawan plays Major Hoshiar Singh Dahiya, Diljit Dosanjh is Fg Offr Nirmal Jit Singh Sekhon, and Ahan Shetty plays Lt Cdr M. S. Rawat, courageously fighting for the nation in the waters. The war drama is a spiritual sequel to JP Dutta’s 1997 Border, and is mounted on a bigger scale. The trailer shows the unwavering determination and unshakable willpower of the Indian Army, Navy, and Air Force to defeat Pakistan in the war.
