“Surreal”, NASA Astronaut Captures Breathtaking Star Trails From Space Station

A video is going viral where you can see beautiful star trails captured from the International Space Station. A NASA astronaut has shared this amazing and breathtaking view of this.

Don Pettit, an astronaut, uploaded a video to X that displayed star trails from the perspective of the International Space Station. The graphics, according to Pettit, were an illustration of ”cool physics.” He described how the stars appear as thin lines in the direction of the ISS’ orbit and arc to the left of the station’s velocity vector. He also noted that city lights streak past beneath, while flashes of lightning produce purple spots into the time history.

Earth’s upper atmosphere also displays a faint red glow. “Star trails from the ISS! Lots of cool physics to see in these.
