1) From September 1, the cost of fresh buffalo milk delivered from Mumbai’s dairy farms, will rise. The Mumbai Milk Producers Association raised the wholesale price from Rs. 93 to Rs. 102 per litre, a Rs. 9 increase. Until February 28, 2027, the modified rate will be in effect, according to reports.

2) Reports also highlight that there will be no need for a boarding pass stamp for overseas tourists. International travellers flying from India will no longer be required to get their boarding passes stamped at immigration counters starting on September 1. Passengers can choose between a paper copy or an electronic boarding pass on their mobile phones to make the departure procedure easier.

3) The ITR due date is August 31 for certain taxpayers. By today (August 31, 2026), taxpayers with professional or business income whose accounts don’t need to be audited must submit their income tax returns for Assessment Year 2026-27. The deadline is applicable to qualified taxpayers who submit ITR – 3 and ITR – 4. Subject to the rules and late filing penalties, those who miss the deadline may still be able to submit a belated return. The deadline is an important tax deadline, not a new rule that begins on September 1.

4) By August 31, LPG consumers who are required to finish Aadhaar-based e-KYC must do so. Consumers who have not yet finished the necessary verification should check with their LPG provider and do so before the deadline to prevent any potential difficulties with their benefits or connection.
