Recently, an Indian techie shared his monthly salary in Japan. He has shared a video on social media showing his working life in Japan and revealing his salary. Many netizens have commented on his video where many are asking about his cost of living as they raise questions about how the salary is sufficient for the most expensive city like Tokyo.

Many of them asked him about his cost of living in the comment section. Some of them asked, how is he managing with such a low salary? Few are pointing out that this is the very lowest salary for living in an expensive city like Tokyo. Some say that it could be good for the fresher, but living with this salary for a month could be difficult. Some are asking about his leaves too, like how many leaves he gets for a year. Many are asking how he manages his expenses, including stay and food. This video has reached millions of users.

In Japan, an Indian software engineer is starting out. He made his income public and posted a video that gained popularity. In an Instagram video, Vicky Kumar stated that his monthly base income is 235,000 yen, or about Rs. 1.35 lakh, and that he earns about 175,000 Yen after usual deductions, which is equivalent to Rs. 1 lakh. The transparency of his information elicited a range of responses, and people questioned if the quantity was sufficient considering the comparatively expensive cost of living in Japan.

To put it into perspective, the predicted monthly expenditures for a single person in Tokyo in 2025 are between 150,000 and 350,000 yen, which is between Rs. 84,000 and Rs. 1.96 lakh, depending on lifestyle choices.
