Basic Costs, 25 Days and Rs 90,000 Spent: Indian Man Shares Cost of Living in Japan
While living in another country, we also need to check the daily expenses against our own salary. Recently, a video went viral where a man shares his spending over 25 days on basic costs in Japan.
On Instagram, Dev Vijay Vargiya gave a thorough overview of his expenses in Japan. Although his monthly pay had not yet been deposited into his account, he noted that he had already gone over his budget. This total covered rent, power, gas, water, Wi-Fi, a SIM card and transportation, but did not include the expense of food and regular needs.
After calculating these critical expenses, Vargiya reports that his total spending in Japan for 25 days was around 150,000 yen or about Rs. 90,271. Following the discovery of another invoice in his mailbox, Vargiya tallied his costs. He stated that he had only spent a month in Japan and had already received his tenth invoice. He said that since coming to Japan, he has spent a lot of time paying invoices.
He made it clear that the approximately Rs. 90,000 he claimed was not his whole outlay, as it did not include the cost of food and everyday purchases. He said that although his largest expenses in Japan were food and everyday necessities, this amount paid for housing and other necessary costs.
He highlighted the value of taking into account the quality of life and facilities received in exchange for these fees. He stressed the significance of air quality, greenery, cleanliness, peacefulness and great maintenance.
