Prashant Kishor on Seat Victory in Upcoming Bihar Polls: Less Than 10 or Over 150

Jan Suraaj Party Supremo Prashant Kishor, who was the chief poll strategist for the BJP during Narendra Modi’s 2014 Lok Sabha campaign, announced on Wednesday that he would not contest the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections. However, his party aims to win 150 seats, and he warned that anything less would be considered a defeat. Jan Suraaj is contesting all 243 assembly seats.

On Thursday, while speaking to AajTak/IndiaToday TV, he said, “We’ll either get fewer than 10 seats or over 150. We won’t stop there. A great deal of discussion has taken place, and people have come to understand that this is the path to ending Bihar’s plight. Now, if the people take a leap of faith, all equations will be proven wrong. And if they don’t, even after hearing and understanding everything, we may win fewer than 10 seats.”

He further added, “So far, people have been saying that they do not have any alternative. Now you have one (JSP). The people of Bihar have to decide what they want. Even after this, if people make a mistake, the misery they are experiencing today and the corruption that troubles them will continue. The migration of their children will not stop. Fake liquor prohibition will continue. People will keep facing difficulties, and Bihar will continue to be insulted across the country.”

He also said, “There’s been a long debate about why good people don’t want to enter politics. We faced difficulties selecting our candidates and went through a lot of challenges. But now, the people have an alternative.”
