MVA, Raj and Uddhav Thackeray to Join ‘Satyacha Morcha’ in Mumbai: What are the Demands?
Mumbai: Raj and Uddhav Thackeray with the MVA to march in Mumbai. The rally is called ‘Satyacha Morcha’ against 96 Lakhs fake voter list. A few days back, the MVA with Raj and Uddhav Thackeray held a press conference regarding the allegations they have against the election commission. Now, they are set to protest against this matter by joining a rally in Mumbai on November 1.
Raj Thackeray, Uddhav Thackeray, Aaditya Thackeray, Harshwardhan Sapkal, and other senior Opposition leaders are to attend the rally from 12 to 12.30 PM as it will start from Fashion Street. Many participants are expected to join. NCP leader Sharad Pawar will also attend this rally, as per the media reports. The leaders will also make a speech during the rally. A stage is built near BMC headquarters. It will start from Fashion Street and will proceed towards the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) headquarters. The rally will last till 4 PM.
Leader Sanjay Raut has shared a tweet, calling this morcha as historical. The Mumbai police have not yet granted formal permission, but the organizers are set to march further. Anticipating large participation in the rally, Mumbai police has issued an advisory regarding traffic and safety.
This march is being held against the irresponsible conduct of the Commission, vote rigging, vote tampering, and electoral malpractices. Raj Thackeray has claimed that reliable sources confirmed that there was manipulation of the voter list. He has urged ECI to halt the local body elections until the verification of the voter list is done. Raj Thackeray has left to attend the rally. As per the latest reports, he is traveling by local train from Dadar. He will stop at Churchgate station.
What are the Demands?
1) Update the voter lists before the municipal elections with no mistake.
2) Hold the elections until the voter lists are updated, if it extends to a further 6 months.
3) Remove duplicate names from the voter lists.
4) Voter Registration by November 7th.
