How to Store Drinking Water?

Traditionally, water was stored in a metal pot, preferably copper, brass, or any alloy of copper. At night, people used to wash the copper vessel with tamarind and turmeric. Additionally, they used to smear sacred ash on it and then fill it with water. With a flower on top of it, they lit a lamp next to it and went to bed. The next morning, they used to drink that water.

5 Tips to Drink Water Correctly

  1. Spend one moment of gratitude and reverence before you drink water because that’s how you fuel your body.
  2. Drink water using both your hands. If a person gives you water in a metal tumbler, use both your hands to hold it.
  3. Consume water that matches your normal body temperature. In the Yogic culture, if you wish to walk on the path of inner transformation and transform your system to another dimension of possibility, then you only drink water that is within four degrees of your body temperature, i.e, around thirty-seven degrees centigrade. Students may drink within a variation of eight degrees, whereas a housemaker can consume water within a twelve-degree variation.
  4. Drink ten percent more to quench your thirst. It is vital to drink water within twenty minutes or at most half an hour when you feel thirsty. 
  5. Incorporate foods with higher water content into your daily diet. According to Sadhguru, your food must have a minimum of seventy percent water content.
