If you have very sensitive skin, then you should take care of it, otherwise problems like hyperpigmentation or acne can pop up. Here are some prevention and caring tips for the hyperpigmentation problem, which can not cause more skin issues. It happened due to the excessive oil problem in the skin. Also, the dark spots stay forever after such an acne issue.

To treat hyperpigmentation, a strict daily routine centered on strong sun protection (SPF 30+) to prevent it from getting worse, along with chemicals like vitamin C, niacinamide and thiamidol to help diminish the appearance of existing spots, is essential.

Tips:

  • Wear wide brimmed hats, UV protective sunglasses and long sleeved attire for physical protection.
  • To prevent UV rays from causing increased pigmentation, use a broad spectrum sunscreen with an SPF of 30 or higher every day, even on cloudy days.
  • Refrain from popping, picking or scratching acne because inflammation causes post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH).

How to Fade Dark Spots:

Vitamin C: Use vitamin C serums to combat free radicals, promote skin brightness and prevent pigmentation.

Exfoliation: To hasten cell turnover and help eliminate pigmented skin cells, use chemical exfoliants a few times a week.

Sunscreen: Use tinted sunscreens containing iron oxide to shield against visible light, one of the primary causes of pigmentation in darker complexion tones.
