Don’t Be Shy New Poster OUT: Alia Bhatt Introduces Aarushi Bajaj
Introducing Aarushi Bajaj as Shy to the world, Alia Bhatt shared the behind-the-scenes scenario of casting her as one of the female leads. She wrote, “Meet Shy. Finding Shy took us a while. We knew exactly how we wanted her to feel… we just didn’t know who she was yet and all through the auditions, something just wasn’t clicking.”
On the other hand, the team was going through the auditions and busy finding an actress to lock in for the role of Tara. Amidst the process, they found Aarushi’s audition and believed that she would be perfect for essaying the role of Shy. “And then, while going through the audition tapes for Tara, we stopped at this one face. Aarushi had auditioned for Tara, but there was something so unapologetically filmy about her that made us say, “Wait… what about her?” So we called her back, this time for Shy,” Alia further added.
Looking at the newly dropped poster, it is quite evident that Shy is funny, fiery, vulnerable, and completely her own person. As Bhatt rightly shared, Aarushi has a spark and brings a dash of masti to Shy that the team could never have written on a page.
