Amid the LPG shortage, Infosys, a giant company, has advised their staff to bring food cooked at home. Now, due to this crisis, many are facing major issues.
Due to the LPG gas scarcity in the country, Infosys has informed its workforce of changes to the food court menu. Similarly, sources claim that HCLTech has asked its Chennai staff to work from home, according to the reports.
In cities like Bengaluru, Pune and Chennai, where its staff is employed, Infosys has stressed that the LPG shortage will have an impact on the campus’ food court’s operations. A shortage of commercial LPG resources has caused Infosys to reduce live dining operations at its main sites and remove some menu items, leading vendors to restrict culinary operations, which has interfered with meal services.
These changes occur at a time when there is a severe LPG shortage in several areas of India due to interruptions in the availability of LPG cylinders, with the West Asia conflict impacting more than 50% of its imports, mostly via the Strait of Hormuz, according to the media reports.
