The tickets for The Devil Wears Prada 2 are already up for sale. Meanwhile, the makers have unveiled the final trailer of the film. Slated to hit the theatres on May 1 globally, the fashion drama marks the reunion of Meryl Streep as Miranda Priestly and Anne Hathaway as Andrea ‘Andy’ Sachs. Along with Emily Blunt and Stanley Tucci, they return to the fashionable streets of New York City and the sleek offices of Runway Magazine in the eagerly awaited sequel to the 2006 phenomenon that defined a generation. 

The buzz around the sequel is piquing interest among fans and audiences worldwide. Now that the makers have unveiled the final trailer, movie buffs are intrigued to know what’s coming their way after years of waiting.

The final trailer dropped by the makers on March 13 showcases Miranda Priestly, the feisty magazine editor-in-chief, who is aiming to save her company no matter what it takes. She then joins hands with her former intern, Andy Sachs, who is now a well-established professional who knows her way around the world of fashion and publications. The nearly three-minute clip revisits many of the franchise’s familiar beats. Miranda remains unimpressed with unsuitable models, dismissing them this time as looking like “methadone farmers”. Interestingly, they are unaware of the fact that Miranda Priestly’s former senior assistant, Emily Charlton, has the key to their life jackets.

The sequel picks up in a radically transformed media landscape, with Miranda fighting to maintain her influence as print continues to decline.
