Woman Clerk Refuses to Issue Railway Ticket Over Exact Change Dispute in Jalandhar, Internet Criticizes

The video shows the passenger and the woman clerk arguing over the issue of exact change for a ticket, reportedly at a ticket window at Jalandhar Cantt Railway Station.

The disagreement started, according to the video’s text, when the passenger came to the counter to purchase a ticket and gave the fare. In the video, the passenger can be heard requesting the ticket and asking why the reservation cannot proceed if he does not have the exact sum to pay.

According to reports, the passenger offers to pay the remaining balance digitally as the conversation proceeds. Even with this proposal, the clerk shouts at the man and refuses to go forward with the ticket reservation. When both of them increase their voices during the conversation, the situation quickly deteriorates. At one point during the dispute, the staff member is heard supposedly warning the passenger to contact the Railway Protection Force.

As soon as the video started to become viral, a number of people responded to the post, with some expressing displeasure over the occurrence.
