The Raja Saab Box Office Collection: Prabhas Starrer Horror-Comedy Earns Rs 64 Crore, Crosses Dhurandhar’s Day 1 Record
The Raja Saab, starring Prabhas in the lead role, signaled a significant shift in the theatrical dominance. On the first day of its release, the horror-comedy collected Rs 54.15 crore in India and Rs 90 crore worldwide. Not just that, a day before its release, the film collected Rs 9.15 Cr through the paid previews. Though Ranveer Singh and Akshaye Khanna’s spy thriller Dhurandhar has been dominating the box office since December 5, 2025, The Raja Saab managed to surpass its Day 1 collection. The Raja Saab Box Office Collection Day 1
The Raja Saab’s India gross was Rs 64 crore, and overseas, it collected Rs 26 crore. Directed by Maruthi Dasari, with an occupancy of 57.16 percent, the film’s Telugu version captivated the majority of the audience. Despite the mixed reviews, the film not only crossed Dhurandhar’s opening collection but also surpassed the earnings of 2025’s biggest opener, Chhaava, which earned Rs 31 crore on its release day. Moreover, it surpassed the lifetime domestic earnings of Prabhas’s last film, Kannappa, which had made Rs 33 crore net.
As per the industry tractor Sacnilk’s advance booking gross report, Prabhas’s film sold around 5.62 lakh tickets in India, generating Rs 28.09 crore in advance sales. Undoubtedly, the much-anticipated horror-comedy brought an end to Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar box office storm. On Saturday, as of 9.30 IST, the film has collected Rs 0.7 crore. It is expected to perform well on Day 2.
Alongside Prabhas, The Raja Saab also stars Sanjay Dutt, Malavika Mohanan, Nidhhi Agerwal, Boman Irani, Riddhi Kumar, and Zarina Wahab in pivotal roles.
