The Kerala Story was one of the most talked-about films of 2023 due to its controversial narrative and hard-hitting plot. The sequel to the hit crime drama, The Kerala Story 2: Goes Beyond, is scheduled to hit the theatres on 27th February, 2026. This time, the movie taps into conversion and religious oppression. Based on numerous true events, the upcoming drama is directed by Kamakhya Narayan Singh and bankrolled by Vipul Amrutlal Shah. Starring Aditi Bhatia, Ulka Gupta, and Aishwarya Ojha in the lead roles, the sequel expands the narrative beyond Kerala to states like Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh

On February 17, 2026, the makers dropped the trailer, which yet again sparked conversations around less-discussed topics. Take a closer look!

The Kerala Story 2: Goes Beyond Trailer OUT: What to Expect?

The makers of The Kerala Story 2: Goes Beyond took to social media and dropped the hard-hitting trailer of the sequel. The caption read, “They targeted our daughters. They broke their trust. They stole their futures. This time, we do not stay silent. The story goes beyond. Is baar sahenge nahi… ladenge. #TheKeralaStory2GoesBeyond trailer out now. In cinemas on 27th February, 2026.”

The 3-minute-7-second trailer of The Kerala Story 2 goes beyond boundaries, deception, hatred, and humanity. The next chapter follows three Hindu girls whose relationships allegedly lead to forced religious conversion, continuing the controversial theme of the first movie. The preview kicks off with a bold voiceover warning that in the next 25 years, India could become an Islamic state ruled by Sharia law.

The first story opens up in Rajasthan, where a Hindu family is seen approaching the police to file a POCSO complaint. They allege that their 16-year-old daughter was forced into religious conversion for marriage. The narrative then shifts to Madhya Pradesh, where a young Hindu woman is shown entering a relationship that later turns into a marriage built on manipulation. The final part moves to Kerala and parts of South India. It follows the story of a Muslim journalist who convinces his Hindu girlfriend to enter a live-in relationship. She affirms that she will never convert, but the situation escalates.

After approximately four years of heated debates across the country, the makers are back with the sequel. The trailer has once again drawn sharp and divided reactions.
