The Kerala Story 2 Teaser Revealed: What to Expect?

The Kerala Story 2: Go Beyond taps into religious conversion by following the journey of three Hindu women with big dreams. At first glance, the teaser seemed even more controversial than the first part. The two-minute teaser kicks off with actor Ulka Gupta’s introduction as Surekha Nair from Kerala, followed by Aishwarya Ojha as Neha Sant from Madhya Pradesh and Aditi Bhatia as Divya Paliwal from Rajasthan. Each of their tales about religious conversion differs from the others.

Surekha was an aspiring IAS officer, Neha wanted to bag a gold medal for India in javelin throw, and Divya aspired to become a social media influencer. The three women marry three Muslim men. Surekha marries Salim, Neha is hitched to Faizan, and Divya is in a wedlock with Rasheed. Sporting burqas, with bruises on their faces, they reveal how they were blinded by love, brainwashed, and converted to Islam.

The central idea of the plot revolves around how the women were tricked by the Muslim men. After they converted to Islam to marry them, their dreams were shattered. The teaser concluded on a powerful note, with the three women chanting in unison, “Isiliye hume ladna hoga. Kuynki abhi nahi toh kabhi nahi.” (That is why we must fight. Because if not now, then never.) Produced by Vipul Amrutlal Shah and co-produced by Aashin A Shah under the banner of Sunshine Pictures, it is indeed intriguing to know what The Kerala Story 2: Goes Beyond has in store.
