The Bluff First Look: Priyanka Chopra Jonas And Karl Urban Roar in Prime Video’s Action-Adventure Film

Priyanka Chopra Jonas’s R-rated thriller is scheduled for debut on February 25, 2026. A day ago, the global icon took to Instagram to upload a carousel of blood-soaked and brutal photos, revealing her first look as Bloody Mary. It is going to be her most ferocious on-screen persona ever, where she portrays the role of a mother, protector, and a pirate. Charged headlong into a battle, the actress appears alongside the New Zealand actor, Karl Urban. Fans can get a glimpse of the violence-heavy pirate world, right from the first look at the much-awaited series.

Starting right from the very first picture, Priyanka is spotted in mid-air, lunging and attacking Urban’s character with a weapon. Set against a harsh coastal setting, the actress sported pirate gear with blood and dirt all over her face. Moving onto the next still, she appears smeared with blood and grime, gripping a conch shell like a knuckle weapon, standing true to the drama’s raw approach.

Unlike the normal pirate saga, The Bluff leans into an intense and darker territory. Considering the glimpses, it is quite evident that the story follows a deep and invigorating survival-driven narrative rather than spectacle-led adventure.

Set against the backdrop of the late 1800s, the R-rated thriller features Citadel fame as Ercell “Bloody Mary” Bodden. She portrays the character of a former pirate queen who has moved on from her violent past and now resides on a Caribbean island. Her peaceful life shatters when her former lover and ex-captain, Connor, played by Karl Urban, arrives with her old crew in the wake of seeking revenge.

Alongside Karl Urban and Priyanka Chopra, the series also stars Temuera Morrison as Quartermaster Lee, Connor’s trusted adviser. Directed by Frank E. Flowers, who co-wrote the screenplay with Joe Ballarini, The Bluff is a period thriller shaped by physical confrontation and psychological pressure.
