Mahesh Babu, Priyanka Chopra’s Varanasi Creates History, Teaser to Be Screened at Paris’ Le Grand Rex

S.S. Rajamouli and Mahesh Babu’s Rs 1300-crore epic marks Priyanka Chopra Jonas’ Telugu debut. Though Varanasi is slated for a Sankranthi 2027 theatrical release, it has very well understood the assignment of piquing the audience’s interest and captivating movie fanatics worldwide. While the film gears up for the release, it has already created history by becoming the first Indian film to screen its teaser at the iconic Le Grand Rex theatre in Paris on January 5, 2026, at 9 p.m. 

Sending movie buffs into a frenzy, Aanna Films, a French distributor of Indian films, confirmed all the reports concerning the promotional material. It is expected that the teaser will be unveiled in a richly visual format on a big screen to draw crowds.

In November, the first look of the Telugu-language epic was revealed. Now, the movie buffs are glued to their screens to know the release date of the much-anticipated fantasy science-fiction action-adventure film. The biggest and one-of-a-kind promotional stunt is all set to attract the masses worldwide. Undoubtedly, Rajamouli is assumed to be quite determined to keep Varanasi right under the global spotlight. Surprisingly, the film’s shoot is still in process and expected to continue for another eight months. 

Bankrolled by K. L. Narayana under the banner of Sri Durga Arts and S. S. Karthikeya of Showing Business, the film is expected to release in March 2027. Alongside Mahesh Babu, Priyanka Chopra, it also features Mollywood actor Prithviraj Sukumaran as the antagonist. With Oscar-winning music composer M. M. Keeravani and Vijayendra Prasad, who penned the story and screenplay, the big-budget film is surely going to be a blockbuster.
