On November 7, the acclaimed director SS Rajamouli revealed the first look of Kumbha, the wicked villain in the highly anticipated movie, SSMB29. The film stars Telugu superstar Mahesh Babu and international icon Priyanka Chopra Jonas in lead roles. No sooner did he unveil the first look of Prithviraj Sukumaran as Kumbha than the audience’s jaws dropped to the floor. 

The filmmaker is renowned for directing blockbuster films with large-scale action and high production values. Some of his chart-bursting hits include Bahuballi and RRR. His creativity and cinematic brilliance are unmatched. Recognized for pioneering the pan-Indian films, Rajamouli’s creation is nothing short of a visual treat. This time, fans are intrigued to know more details about the Mahesh-Priyanka starrer film, tentatively named SSMB29. Meanwhile, take a look at the first look of the villain, Kumbha.

Prithviraj Sukumaran’s First Look in SSMB29

Prithviraj Sukumaran looks striking in a wheelchair equipped with robotic arms and legs. His expression is fierce, powerful, and bold. With the perfect blend of physical vulnerability and terrifying authority, Prithviraj aces the look like a pro. He not only looks adversarial but also formidable, sophisticated, and well-built for conflict. The character is undoubtedly sinister and ruthless. Looking at the actor’s phenomenal transformation, Rajamouli calls him one of the finest actors he has worked with. No one but him could have portrayed Kumbha better.

Some fans likened the character reveal poster to a fusion of Stephen Hawking and Doctor Octopus from ‘Spider-Man’. Others humorously commented, “Professor X’s chair meets Doc Ock’s arms = Kumbha. The ultimate Marvel crossover we didn’t know we needed.

Billed as a “globetrotter”, the film is bankrolled by KL Narayana of Durga Arts. The action-adventure thriller is expected to be a mix of mythology, advanced technology, and raw physical stakes. According to reports, the movie might hit the theaters in 2027.
