Yash’s Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown Ups will mark the Student of the Year 2 actress’s pan-India debut. Rebecca is expected to be wielding power and guns like her birthright. On the other hand, Tara’s character also possesses an instinct for self-preservation. Wearing authority as second skin, Rebecca’s poise and luminous appearance leave fans and movie buffs awestruck.

Helmed by festival circuit darling Geetu Mohandas, the project is penned by Yash and Mohandas. Talking about Tara’s role, Mohandas states, “I’ve always felt an instinctive love to protect Tara. Perhaps because she is a guarded soul, or perhaps it’s the armour she’s comfortable with. And perhaps it doesn’t need to be defined. I realized early on that the best way to reach her was not by pushing, not by demanding more, but by allowing her the space to simply be.”  According to the filmmaker, Tara observes and listens more than she speaks and reveals. Her silence is powerful and nothing short of breathtaking. She further added that Tara left her in awe in the most beautiful way.

The movie is set to be groundbreaking as the first major Indian film that is conceptualized, written, and shot simultaneously in two languages: Kannada and English. Additionally, dubbed versions in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and other languages are also planned.
