Emily in Paris Renewed for Season 6; Will Lily Collins’ Next Chapter Be Set in Greece?

Emily in Paris premiered its fifth season last month in December 2025. Season 5 captured the attention of audiences around the globe, amassing a total of 26.8 million views. Just when the season’s craze began to drop, Netflix dropped a major update. It renewed the hit series Emily in Paris for season 6. The return of the titular character, Lily Collins, alongside Ashley Park, Lucien Laviscount, Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu, Lucas Bravo, Samuel Arnold, Bruno Gouery, and William Abadie left fans ecstatic. 

While the official release date for season 6 hasn’t been announced, fans expect it to arrive later this year or in early 2027. With the number of episodes and the location still in question, the audience is predicting the next chapter to be set in Greece. Here’s what we know!

Emily in Paris has developed a unique fanbase over the past six years. The series has released five seasons so far, and the sixth season is set to premiere soon. On January 5, 2026, Netflix announced this significant update on Instagram. No sooner did it drop the video, featuring Lily Collins as Emily Cooper, than its comment section was flooded with excitement coming from jubilant fans. In the video, she is on a phone screen, pretending to blow out a number 6 candle atop a gigantic croissant. The backdrop appears to be Paris, including the iconic Eiffel Tower. The caption read, “Home sweet home. Emily in Paris is returning for season 6!”

Emily has officially closed the Rome chapter. She may join Gabriel briefly in Greece, as the next chapter is reportedly set there, making it an ideal location for the warmer weather. However, the season may have the remainder of it in France. More details from the makers await!
