Yesterday, the trailer for Alia Bhatt’s feature film “Don’t Be Shy” was released, sparking conversations online. Starring Aarushi Bajaj and Ansh Duggal in the lead roles, the young-adult romance comedy drama is all geared up to premiere on Prime Video on Sept. 25, 2026.

Directed by Sreeti Mukerji, “Don’t Be Shy,” is backed by Alia Bhatt and Shaheen Bhatt under their banner, Eternal Sunshine Productions. Featuring Aarushi Bajaj, Piyush Khati, Bianca Arora, and Ansh Duggal in the key roles, the 2-minute-32-second-long trailer chronicles the saga of a perfect girl, played by Aarushi, who has chalked out an elaborate plan for her successful life ahead. As she strives to create novel friendships, she simultaneously takes a step toward her dream. 

Gradually, she navigates through life and finds herself caught between her romantic feelings for the rich and popular Mayank (Piyush Khati) and her estranged childhood friend Dhruv (Ansh Duggal). However, Tara’s (Bianca Arora) sudden appearance at her college makes things more complicated. Shy soon realises that her carefully thought-out plan to get her life back on track might not pan out as expected. 

Alia Bhatt calls the film a story about growing up. Taking to her social media handles, she wrote, “first loves. best friends. heartbreaks. bad decisions. all the things that make growing up what it is. DON’T BE SHY.”
