Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar: The Revenge has clearly brought the box office tsunami. Aditya Dhar’s directorial has once again managed to hit milestones, break records, and dominate the box office like no other. Dhurandhar 2 is one of the most-anticipated films of 2026 since the release of its prequel. Fans couldn’t help but count the days until March 19 to arrive. Finally, the day is here!

For the unversed, the makers had scheduled a paid preview on March 18. Nonetheless, the spy thriller broke the day 0 box office records. The film’s paid preview collections crossed a staggering Rs 50 crore gross and Rs 43 crore net in all versions, making it the biggest premiere performance ever. Take a closer look at the numbers and the list of films whose records are broken.

Dhurandhar: The Revenge Paid Previews Box Office Collection

The previous best preview record from Bollywood was with Rajkumar Rao’s Stree 2, which had raked in Rs. 8.75 crore nett. Apart from Hindi language movies, Telugu film They Call Him OG had held the record of the biggest previews in India with Rs. 26 crore nett. Apparently, the record is now broken by a huge margin. According to Sacnilk, what made this feat even more extraordinary is the gap between Dhurandhar 2 and the previous Bollywood record holder.

Dhurandhar: The Revenge has delivered nearly five times that record, setting a benchmark that may be difficult to surpass anytime soon. Arriving in cinemas on March 18, the early trends suggest that the action thriller is going to perform extremely well, challenging the Rs 100 crore mark on Day 1. Since the sequel is backed by the momentum generated from its record-shattering previews, it may break the record of its prequel, released on December 5, 2025. Not to forget, the immense hype surrounding the sequel and its star-studded ensemble has made it possible for the film to create history of its own.
