Dhurandhar to Re-Release in Theatres Worldwide Ahead of Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar: The Revenge
Aditya Dhar’s 2025 blockbuster, Dhurandhar, re-releases in theatres on March 13 ahead of the much-awaited release of its sequel. Starring Ranveer Singh, Dhurandhar: The Revenge is slated to hit the cinemas on March 19. Amidst the buzz, Jio Studios and B62 Studios are bringing back the craze of the prequel that created history and broke several box office records. The hit spy thriller will play across approximately 500 screens globally, including 250 locations in India beginning March 12 and 250 overseas venues starting March 13. Dhurandhar 2 will hit theatres a week later, worldwide, with paid preview shows on March 18 in select theatres.
For the unversed, the much-loved thriller, released on December 15, 2025, amassed Rs 1,300 crore globally, with Rs 1,000 crore of the total originating from the Indian market.
Dhurandhar Re-Release in Cinemas
Dhurandhar re-release allows audiences to watch both installments of the franchise in quick succession at cinemas. North America has 185 screens in the re-release, reflecting significant demand ahead of the sequel’s arrival. Advance tickets for the Wednesday screenings have sold out at numerous locations.
Dhurandhar: The Revenge opens worldwide March 19, timed to Gudi Padwa, Ugadi, and Eid celebrations. The sequel will release in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam languages. Alongside Ranveer Singh, R Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt, Danish Pandor, Rakesh Bedi, and Sara Arjun feature in key roles.
For the unaware, the prequel is set in Lyari town of Karachi, an area known for its history of gang wars and violent turf battles. The narrative chronicles around the covert intelligence operations in the backdrop of geopolitical and terror events like the Kandahar plane hijack, the 2001 Parliament attack, and the 26/11 Mumbai attacks.
