After months of yearning, Ranveer Singh and Akshaye Khanna’s Dhurandhar is finally available on the OTT giant, Netflix. After dominating the box office for over 50 days and creating waves globally, the spy-action drama marked its OTT debut on January 30, 2026. No sooner was the film available to binge-watch on Netflix than it sparked outrage over muted and censored scenes of the A-rated film.
Aditya Dhar’s directorial was first released in theatres on December 5, 2025. Alongside Ranveer Singh and Akshaye Khanna, the film features a stellar starcast including Madhavan, Sara Arjun, Sanjay Dutt, and Arjun Rampal. With no prior announcement, the box office hit began streaming on Netflix. Here’s what fumed the fans and global audience!

Dhurandhar made its mark in the digital space, but fans are disappointed by the unexpected changes made to the streaming version. Viewers expressed their frustration after noticing content trimming, censored language, and a reduction of nearly ten minutes of footage, although it is available to an adult-only audience on Netflix. Other adult-rated films, such as Animal and Kabir Singh, did not face such censorship, leading the audience to expect that this spy thriller would also remain uncut for mature viewers. In fact, netizens were looking forward to an uncut OTT version with added scenes.
Netflix announced the OTT release of the high-octane drama on multiple social media platforms, Instagram, X, and Twitter. The caption read, ‘Watch Dhurandhar, the epic saga unfold. Now streaming on Netflix in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.’ Fans expressed their happiness at this post. However, within hours of the OTT release, users began pointing out the film’s 10-min cut runtime and other censored scenes. Dhurandhar, which ran in theatres, was 3 hours and 34 minutes long. However, the online version is 3 hours and 25 minutes.
