Cocktail 2 Box Office Collection: Shahid, Kriti, Rashmika’s Drama Scores Big Over the Weekend, Mints Rs 57 Cr

Starring Shahid Kapoor, Kriti Sanon, and Rashmika Mandanna, Cocktail 2 hit the theatres on June 19. With its entertaining and lighthearted narrative, the romantic comedy continues to perform well at the box office. On its first day, the film earned Rs 13.50 crore, while on the second day it saw a 25 per cent spike. 

As of day 4, the film has collected Rs 48.33 crore net and Rs 57.98 crore gross by running across 3,499 shows. Despite locking horns with other releases, including Bobby Deol’s Bandar, the Hollywood horror drama Obsession, Imtiaz Ali’s Main Vaapas Aaunga, and Vikram Bhatt’s Haunted 3D: Echoes of the Past at the ticket window, the film has maintained its momentum.

Shahid, Kriti, Rashmika’s Cocktail 2 Box Office Collection 

According to industry tracker Sacnilk, the film has wrapped up its opening weekend on a higher note by hitting the Rs 57 crore mark. As of day 5, the film has already raked in Rs 83 lakhs at 1 PM IST. In terms of occupancy, the film recorded 21 percent on its first day and over 25 percent during the weekend. 

Directed by Homi Adajania, the sequel to 2012’s Saif Ali Khan, Deepika Padukone, and Diana Penty’s Cocktail has maintained a steady performance at the box office, showing an upward trend over the weekend. 

Cocktail 2 has received mixed reactions from fans and critics, along with strong box-office numbers. One user opined, “With a correct script and appealing making, Shahid Kapoor spark is unmatchable. Cocktail 2 proves it.” Other wrote , “Kriti Sanon is the heart and soul of the film. Another wow performance and btw that looks like a bonus after just seeing her existing on the big screen. Sicily adds to the beauty of the film. First half ends at a point which builds curiosity for the 2nd half.”
