Celina Jaitly and Peter Haag have been married for 14 years. On Tuesday, November 25, the Indian model Celina Jaitly approached the Mumbai court alleging domestic violence against her husband, Austrian national Peter Haag. The Andheri magistrate court issued notice to Haag and scheduled the hearing for December 12, 2025.
Celina’s representative, Karanjawala & Co., stated that Peter’s sister informed her that he was in a live-in relationship while presenting himself as single during their courtship. According to her lawyers, the foremost concern is the custody of her children. Additionally, the application filed under the Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act, 2005, cites emotional and verbal cruelty, physical violence, manipulation, coercion, and financial control as grounds for divorce.
Jaitly has been seeking Rs. 10 lakh in monthly maintenance and Rs. 50 crore as compensation. She claimed that Peter prevented her from pursuing her Bollywood career to cover the family’s personal expenses. They resided in Mumbai, Dubai, and Singapore, and later shifted to an isolated Austrian village, leaving her without access to money or transportation.
The plea states that Peter Haag has completely blocked her access to the children, who are currently in his custody in Austria. Consequently, the actress is seeking a custody order, directing Peter to provide her with unhindered virtual and telephonic access to the children.
Karanjawala, Celina’s lawyer, revealed that their marriage had been abusive from the beginning. However, her emotional state worsened significantly in 2017 amid a series of personal tragedies. During the same year, while expecting her second set of twins, Jaitley lost her father. One of the twins passed away shortly after birth due to hypoplastic left heart dysplasia. After months, her mother lost her fight to a rapidly advancing cancer.
