Fans and movie buffs were eagerly waiting for Akshay Kumar’s Bhooth Bangla to hit the big screen since the release of its trailer. The wait has finally come to an end! Directed by Priyadarshan, the all-new madcap adventure is slated for release on May 15, 2026. Initially, it was scheduled for release on April 2, 2026. However, to avoid the box office clash with Ranveer Singh and Akshaye Khanna’s Dhurandhar 2, the makers decided to postpone their release.

Akshay Kumar’s Bhooth Bangla Release Date

Bhooth Bangla is a fantastic combination of spine-tingling laughs and ghostly chaos. Inspired by Bhool Bhulaiyaa, the drama marks the return of the dream team comprising Akshay Kumar, Paresh Rawal, Tabu, and Rajpal Yadav. In the upcoming release, the 58-year-old actor essays the role of a skeptical ghost hunter. He is accidentally trapped in a haunted ancestral mansion, “Bhooth Bangla,” where everything is unpredictable and abnormal.

Alongside the actor comes Paresh Rawal as a tantrik-turned-life coach. Joining them is Tabu, a mysterious medium with secrets of her own, and lastly, Rajpal Yadav as a cowardly caretaker who encounters ghosts everywhere. In a nutshell, the comedy family drama is a classic blend of chaos, confusion, and cleverly timed scares that will keep you on the edge of your seat. Right from witty one-liners, heartwarming scenes, to spooky antics, there is something for everyone.

Bhooth Bangla is expected to be an ultimate entertainer offering both chills and chuckles. Bankrolled by Akshay Kumar, Shobha Kapoor, and Ektaa R. Kapoor under the banner of Balaji Telefilms and Cape of Good Films, the film is surely going to be a box office banger. Some scenes from the movie are reportedly shot at Chomu Palace in Jaipur, where the entire horror narrative unfolds. Additionally, a couple of shots were filmed at the iconic location featured in 2007’s Bhool Bhulaiyaa. Nonetheless, the mystery will be unearthed on May 15, 2026.
