Alpha New Release Date OUT: Alia Bhatt, Bobby Deol, Sharvari Wagh’s Thriller to Hit Theatres in July

On Monday, March 9, 2026, Yash Raj Films took to their official social media handles to announce the new release date of Alpha starring Alia Bhatt, Bobby Deol, Anil Kapoor, and Sharvari Wagh in lead roles. The spy thriller has been one of the most anticipated movies since the title reveal. Locking the new release date, YRF dropped an intriguing poster with the letter ‘a’. The teaser poster shows a sneak peek of Alia Bhatt’s fierce avatar. 

The YRF universe is a massive franchise that includes films such as Ek Tha Tiger, War, and Pathaan. Alpha will be the first female-led spy thriller helmed by Shiv Rawail and bankrolled by Aditya Chopra. The movie is all set to hit theatrical screens not on April 17, 2026, but on July 10, 2026.

The teaser poster released by Yash Raj Films showcases a partially visible Alia Bhatt with an action-packed look. With bruises and cuts on her face, the poster suggests the intensity of her character. The mysterious design, dominated by black and metallic gold tones, has “A” written in Greek letters. Below the title appear the names of actors Anil Kapoor and Bobby Deol.

Since it was locking horns with Salman Khan’s Battle of Galwan, it was speculated that the makers would change its release date. After months of guessing, the official announcement finally stopped the rumor mill. For the unversed, the project marks Alia Bhatt’s first film with Yash Raj Films. It is also the 7th installment in the YRF Spy Universe. The actress also shared the poster and wrote in the caption, “#ALPHA 10.07.2026. ”See you in cinemas.“
