There is an important announcement for the students as the class 12 board exams will be checked on the on-screen marketing system as said by the CBSE board.
Prior to the 2026 Class 12 board exams, the Board had notified schools of the choice and asked for their assistance in ensuring a seamless and successful transfer to ‘On Screen Marking’. According to the board, the on screen marking system will greatly minimize manual intervention and get rid of total mistakes. The evaluation process will be accelerated by the new system and more teachers will be able to participate.
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has made the decision to implement On Screen Marking (OSM) for the assessment of Class 12 answer sheets, beginning with the board exams in 2026. The action is a component of the Board’s overall drive towards digital procedures and increased efficiency in tasks pertaining to examinations. Nevertheless, the CBSE stated that Class 10 answer books would still be assessed in physical mode in 2026.
The board has asked affiliated schools to guarantee the availability of the necessary infrastructure in order to facilitate a seamless transition. This includes a computer lab with a public static IP address as required by affiliation bye-laws, computers or laptops running Windows 8 or above with at least 4 GB RAM and enough free storage, up to date internet browsers, Adobe Reader, reliable internet connectivity of at least 2 Mbps and uninterrupted power supply.
The Board said it would help schools and teachers throughout the shift by giving every teacher with an OASIS ID the ability to log in and learn the system.
