She talked about her path from making Rs. 15,000 to Rs. 250,000 each month, noting that pay increases did not make her truly happy.

At Rs. 15,000 per month, Sakshi wrote that she was really content, but as her income increased to Rs. 1.5 lakh and then Rs. 2.5 lakh, her happiness decreased; not as a result of the money, but because she was always comparing herself to other people. She thought she deserved more, even at Rs. 1.5 lakh and after seeing her peers, her income seemed less even at Rs. 2.5 lakh.
She understood that joy comes from following work that one is passionate about, not from merely achieving larger pay amounts, after a period of no income following her resignation.
