Businessman Vinod Chendhil, related the tale, calling the man a dear friend who values personal freedom and simplicity above status symbol. The founder has deliberately avoided the usual improvements in lifestyle that come with increasing wealth, according to Chendhil.

Handa pointed out that his way of life would probably alter dramatically at Rs. 50 crore, even if he is now financially stable with a net worth of about Rs. 10 crore.

“My founder friend who has Rs. 100 crore net worth. Travels by auto whenever in Mumbai, takes share auto or taxi wherever possible, stays at simple hotels, has not bought an expensive vehicle. The only thing that has changed is that he has more vacations or free time now,” Chendhil said.
