Tata Motors Secures Over 3,400 eCV Orders in Boost to India’s Commercial EV Push
Sustainability is a need of an hour. Also, it is a driving force of the economy too. India’s electric vehicle market is also growing and as per the latest reports, Tata Motors secured over 3,400 eCV orders in an effort to boost India’s commercial electric vehicle push.
The firm has received orders in the freight, logistics and passenger mobility areas, demonstrating a rising acceptance of electric mobility in India’s commercial vehicle industry.
In a statement released on Sunday, the company stated that the orders represent a major inflection point in the mainstream adoption of electric mobility for both freight and passenger transport in India, according to ANI.
In addition, the company claimed that the orders include around 2,000 Small Commercial Vehicles (SCVs) and pick-ups, almost 900 trucks and nearly 500 buses utilized throughout a variety of industries, including e-commerce, logistics, FMCG and FMCD distribution, intra-city mobility, cement, steel, mining and passenger transportation.
Tata Motors announced that it has established an ecosystem which includes alliances with over 14 charge point operators, EV focused financial solutions, fleet management services and uptime assurance programmes in order to promote large scale adoption. The company stated that these factors combined are assisting in making electric commercial mobility a viable and useful option for organizations today.
