A post has gone viral where a man leaves a high-paying job in the US and embraces his new life back in India. An NRI leaves his Rs. 2.9 crore job in the USA and settles down in India.
An NRI man who has lived in the United States for over 12 years stated that he was considering moving back to India with his family in order for his children to have more quality time with their grandparents.
The 36 year old NRI claimed he was considering relocating to Navi Mumbai in the middle of the year and asked the internet community for suggestions on whether it was the best course of action for his family.
“With a priority date of November 2018, I am now 36 years old and residing in the United States on an H1B visa,” he said. In a Reddit post, the NRI stated that he and his wife have made the choice to bring their family of five back to Navi Mumbai in June after giving it a lot of consideration.
In addition to having a house free of debt, the NRI revealed a yearly US income of Rs 2.9 crore (320,000 USD) and a net worth of Rs 9.06 crore (1 million USD). On the other hand, his Indian job offer has an annual package worth Rs 1.5 crore.

“Because my parents are in Hyderabad, being closer to my family is a major motivator,” he said. The NRI stated that he wants his children to grow up with their cousins and grandparents.
“However, leaving a paid-off home and a 320,000 USD income seems like a huge change,” he adds further. For those living in Mumbai/Navi Mumbai, how does a compensation of about Rs 1.5 crore (including equity) compare to a 320,000 USD wage?
