PM Modi Arrives in Johannesburg for G20 Summit: What’s on Agenda?

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has arrived in Johannesburg for the 3 day G20 Summit. It will commence from today, November 22, 2025. PM Modi received a warm welcome. At the airport, the Prime Minister was greeted by Khumbudzo Ntshavheni, the South African Minister in the Presidency. He was welcomed by a cultural performance ensemble who performed traditional dances and sang songs. At Waterkloof Air Force Base (AFB) in Gauteng, PM Modi was given a formal and friendly welcome. He was given a red carpet salute by the South African Air Force.

PM Modi has shared an X post. He shared glimpses of his welcome in Johannesburg. He wrote, “Here are the highlights from the welcome yesterday in Johannesburg. Looking forward to taking part in the G20 Summit proceedings today.” “Landed in Johannesburg for the G20 Summit related engagements. Looking forward to productive discussions with world leaders on key global issues,” PM Modi wrote in a social media update after arrival.
