At the airport, the Prime Minister was greeted by Khumbudzo Ntshavheni, the South African Minister in the Presidency. He was welcomed by a cultural performance ensemble who performed traditional dances and sang songs. At Waterkloof Air Force Base (AFB) in Gauteng, PM Modi was given a formal and friendly welcome. He was given a red carpet salute by the South African Air Force.
