Planetary Parade February 2026: Know Date, Time to Witness this Spectacular Celestial Event
You can witness a beautiful phenomenon happening this month in the sky. On 28th February 2026, skywatchers around the world will be treated to a breathtaking celestial event known as a planetary parade.
NASA predicts that Mercury, Venus, Neptune, Saturn, Uranus and Jupiter will all be aligned in the sky. According to Newsweek, the space agency claims that these planets are visible immediately after sunset during the month of February, with the optimum alignment occurring at the end of the month.
According to NASA, in order to view a planet without instruments, it must be a few degrees above the horizon, with an altitude of 10 degrees or more being considered ideal.
According to NASA, it will be more noticeable at dusk or dawn, when the sky is still somewhat dark. When a planet appears too low in the sunset’s glare, it becomes very hard to spot.
The other two planets will be very close to the sun and may not be seen at all or they will only be seen for a short period in the bright evening light. Following Saturn and Neptune, Venus and Mercury will be the closest to the horizon. Jupiter and Uranus will be quite high in the sky.
