Your favorite K-pop and K-drama stars have made a stylish debut at the Met Gala 2026 held on May 4, 2026. No sooner did the pictures from the biggest fashion night surface online than fans began extending compliments. Among the widely discussed looks were those of all four BLACKPINK members, Ahn Hyo Seop, aespa’s Karina, and Ningning. 

 

The Met Gala opened its doors at the Metropolitan Museum of Art under the theme “Costume Art” with a dress code titled “Fashion Is Art.” This year’s carpet was graced by K-Pop idols and Korean actors turning up in carefully constructed couture. Take a closer look!

  1. Jennie

Jennie graced the Met Gala in a column dress featuring a structured bustier covered in blue sequin leaves. The piece required 540 hours of craftsmanship and incorporated 15,000 embroidered details. She accessorized her outfit with Chanel jewellery, minimal makeup, and an updo finished with a small kiss curl, which revolutionized her fashion game.

  1. Aespa

Flaunting a personalized hanbok-inspired dress and cape look, Karina represented Prada for the evening. As the brand ambassador, she made sure that her debut was a memorable one. Hence, she opted for a satin dress accentuated with diamonds. She then added a black cape that rested on her arms. With hair in an up-do, she turned heads. 

  1. Ahn Hyo-Seop

Among those who made their historic debut at the Met Gala was Ahn Hyo-Seop. He walked in a fun mix-and-match of bright and pastel hues in a custom Valentino ensemble. He paired it with a sequinned black-and-gold patterned suit with a silk shirt.  Moreover, a red skinny scarf completed his look while also adding a splash of colour. Most importantly, Singer EJAE chose a bejewelled Swarovski gown with crystals studded all over, adding depth with a heavy smoky-eyed look and elaborate hairdo with loud headpieces that paid homage to her Asian roots.

  1. Lisa

Thai-born Lalisa Manobal was the first K-pop artist named to the Met Gala host committee. A global ambassador for Celine, she returned to the event in a Robert Wun couture look. Her outfit featured a dramatic veil matched by sculpted extra hands, referencing movement and form. 

  1. Jung Ho Yeon 

Jung Ho Yeon arrived in a black dress with a big flower on her waist over a black latex-like gown. She has previously attended the Met Gala back in 2022, making this her return after four years.
