An Indian man (51) has been deported from Canada immediately after being accused of harassing a teenage girl. The man had come to visit Canada to meet his newborn grandchild. According to the media, his judge informed the court that he had a return ticket to India on December 30, but the judge nonetheless mandated his immediate deportation and a prohibition on his entry into Canada.

The man’s name is Jagjit Singh. He arrived in Ontario, Canada in July this year and had the purpose of visiting his newborn grandchild. He was on a 6 month visitor visa. But convicted of criminally harassing two teenage girls outside their school and deported from Canada, according to the Canadian media.

Shortly after arriving, according to police, he began to visit the smoking area outside a nearby high school in the Sarnia region, where he reportedly sexually assaulted and harassed young Canadian women. Canadian media reports claimed that between September 8 and September 11, he made several attempts to photograph young females in the smoking area.

He was charged with sexual assault and sexual interference after being taken into custody on September 16. He was granted bail a few days later, but he was taken into custody again after a new complaint came in on the same day. The following day, he was granted bail once more, but because there was no interpreter present at the time, he had to remain in police custody for another night.

Additionally, he is prohibited from being within 100 meters of any school, playground, pool, community center or park, according to the reports.
