What are the Northern Lights?
The aurora borealis, sometimes called the northern lights, is a real phenomenon where energized particles from the sun interact with gases in the atmosphere of the planet to create light. They generate energy in the form of light when they collide with atmospheric gases like nitrogen and oxygen, producing vibrant and dynamic ribbons in the sky.
