A massive cloud of lava smoke has risen into the sky. During the most recent period of continuous volcanic activity, the Kilauea volcano in Hawaii has once again erupted, launching lava fountains into the air at heights of up to 1,000 feet (300 meters).

According to the scientists who are keeping an eye on the volcano, the eruption occurred on the Big Island at the summit of Kilauea and is the 43rd eruption since the current one started in December 2024, as stated in the reports.

Kilauea, one of the most active volcanoes in the world, has been erupting off and on for over a year. The volcano is still being closely watched by the authorities for any signs of change, despite the fact that the majority of the activity is still limited to the national park.

As a preventative measure, Hawaii County authorities also established shelters, even if there were no initial reports of injuries or structural damage. In the meantime, the National Weather Service released an ashfall warning, informing citizens that volcanic ash might cause respiratory, skin and eye discomfort, as stated in the media reports.
