Brazilian Influencer Bianca Dias Passes Away at 27 Shortly After Cosmetic Surgery

On Thursday, February 19, Brazilian social media influencer Bianca Dias passed away at the age of 27, shortly after undergoing cosmetic surgery. The shocking news sparked discussions around the safety concerns of plastic surgery. The 27-year-old social media star reportedly suffered a pulmonary embolism, a risk tied to the procedures. She experienced shortness of breath while recovering from a recent cosmetic surgery at her family’s house near São Paulo. 

The popular personality was recognized for sharing modeling photos and snippets from her everyday life on Instagram. The news of her sad demise circulated on social media, as friends and fellow creators shared tributes honoring her distinctive spirit.

Giovanna Borges, a friend of the Brazilian social media influencer, took to Instagram to confirm her death. She revealed that Bianca Dias suffered a pulmonary embolism and two seizures before she breathed her last. Borges’ Instagram story read, “Bia had surgery, and in recovery at home, she had a pulmonary clot, had 2 seizures, and when she arrived at the hospital, she was no longer alive….” As per research, Pulmonary embolisms are a recognized risk linked to significant cosmetic surgeries, especially when multiple procedures are performed at once. The likelihood of developing post-operative blood clots is highest within the first 48 hours after surgery and remains a serious concern for up to 20 days post-operation. Though the name of the plastic surgery is unclear, she passed away just 18 days later. 

Bianca Dias gained prominence by documenting her lifestyle and modeling content on Instagram, where she has nearly 60,000 followers. Reportedly, family and local authorities have launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding her sudden death.
