American company’s COO lays off Indian workforce within a few minutes? Internet reacts

A Reddit post is going viral in which an Indian has posted about the shocking mass firing of Indian employees. In the post, the person mentions how their US-based company’s COO got them on a video call and laid off the Indian workforce within a few minutes. The post has gained massive reactions online.

The post is posted by user ‘Efficient-Tangelo-81’ in the Gurgaon group of Reddit. The user mentioned that they work from home for a US-based company, and around 11, the Indian employees were asked to join the video call. The American company’s COO joined the call at 11:01 and informed the team that they are letting go of most of their Indian workforce.

The user wrote, ” He said everyone whose role was impacted by the layoff would receive a mail after the meeting and that he wasn’t taking any questions at that time. He said all this and left the meeting at 11:04, with all of us shocked, stunned, frustrated, stressed. It just took three minutes of his day. He also said today (1st Oct) would be our last day at work.”
