The world is facing a major climate change crisis. The weather is changing significantly, resulting in frequent rains, cyclones and a rise in temperature. Now, European scientists believe that 2025 will be the second or third hottest year around the world.

New data from European climate scientists predicts that 2025 will be the second or third warmest year on record. The warning confirms worries that the globe is moving toward hazardous warming levels much more quickly than anticipated. This is reported by Europe’s Copernicus Service, which monitors global climate data. The results showed that global temperatures will remain extremely high from January to November 2025.

Unprecedented global heat is causing deadly flooding and heatwaves in many regions. Powerful typhoons and record wildfires intensified as temperatures rose above previous normal levels. Extreme ocean heating is rapidly increasing, increasingly affecting all continents.

This is a temperature that will compete with 2023 for second or third place. Scientists point out that global temperatures in 2025 will be 1.48 degrees Celsius above the pre-industrial average. This number is dangerously close to the 1.5°C warming threshold set by the Paris Agreement.

This year will be the second hottest year on record, after 2024. A powerful El Nino, which causes a transient warming of the Pacific and the Earth, exacerbated the intense heat of 2024. However, the temperature remains extraordinarily high despite the disappearance of El Nino.

In 2025, the world has already witnessed climate change, even the rise in temperature in many regions. This must be taken into consideration, as many scientists and government bodies are taking initiatives and experts are also warning us to take an immediate action plan.
