David Beckham needs no introduction. He is a world-renowned soccer star and former English professional football player who played for elite clubs, including Manchester United and Real Madrid. He represented England in international tournaments, and on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, he was knighted by King Charles III in Berkshire for his exceptional services to football and British society.
The 50-year-old sports icon was named on King Charles’ Birthday Honours list. Earning the title of Sir David Beckham is nothing short of an achievement for him. He calls the Windsor Castle ceremony the ‘proudest moment’ of his life. In fact, the priceless moment left him speechless.
On Instagram, the official account of the Royal Family posted a video of him bending down in front of the King with due respect. Later, David too dropped a picture and captioned the post saying, “I can’t even begin to describe what a special day it is for me today, a boy born in East London, to receive a Knighthood from His Majesty The King. I am truly humbled and so grateful for this honour. I have been fortunate to represent our country, and I’ve always done that with pride… I love our Royal Family and what it means to people not just in Great Britain but around the world.”
Sir David definitely deserves his ultimate honor! He says, “All I have ever wanted to do is to make my family proud.”
