Indian Cricketer Dinesh Karthik, Wife Dipika Pallikal Welcome 3rd Child, Reveal Baby Girl’s Name

Indian cricketer Dinesh Karthik and his wife, Dipika Pallikal, recently welcomed parenthood. On Thursday, the couple took to Instagram to announce the birth of their third child, daughter Raaha. She is the Indian cricketer’s first daughter, following the birth of his twin sons, Kabir and Zian, in 2021.

The new parents expressed their excitement, calling their darling daughter a ‘precious’ addition to their family. They also announced the name of their baby girl, Raaha Pallikal Karthik, and spoke about how their sons have taken care of their baby sister.

The 40-year-old cricketer captioned his post, writing, “With blessings in our hearts and gratitude beyond words, we joyfully welcome our precious girl into this world. Kabir and Zian are thrilled to introduce their baby sister, Raaha Pallikal Karthik. Love, Dipika & Dinesh”.

For the unversed, Dipika Pallikal was a squash player. She is the first Indian woman to break into the top 10 rankings across the world. Additionally, Dipika is a recipient of the Padma Shri award and has won multiple medals at the Commonwealth and Asian Games.

On the other hand, Dinesh Karthik has enjoyed a long sports career while playing for the Tamil Nadu cricket team. Karthik was recently active as a broadcaster in the T20 World Cup. His commentary has a separate fan base. Moreover, the former cricketer has now transitioned into a coach for the Royal Challengers Bengaluru IPL Team. Since he retired from professional cricket in 2024, Karthik has taken to mentoring, coaching, and commetatorship.

Dinesh and Dipika got married on August 25, 2015, via two traditional ceremonies, Hindu and Christian. In 2021, they were blessed with twin boys, Kabir and Zian. Five years later, they announced the arrival of their baby girl, Raaha.
