The hosts maintained their composure under pressure and limited South Africa to 201/8 after scoring a massive 231/5, which was fueled by brilliant half centuries from Tilak Varma and Hardik Pandya, who blasted the second fastest T20I fifty by an Indian off just 16 balls. The chase was derailed when Jasprit Bumrah and Hardik Pandya dismissed the set of batsmen, but Varun Chakravarthy completely reversed the game with a double wicket over.
